How it works
Upload your AVIF files
Drop in one file or a whole batch — dimensions and file size show up instantly.
Choose transparency & size
Keep transparency or flatten it to a solid color, then resize if you want.
Download
Grab a single PNG directly, or select multiple and download them together as a ZIP.
Lossless conversion, transparency intact
Batch conversion
Add any number of .avif files and convert them all in one pass.
Transparency preserved
PNG supports alpha, so transparent areas in the AVIF stay transparent by default.
Optional flattening
Prefer a solid background? Flatten transparency to white or black in one click.
Always lossless
PNG output never re-compresses your image with quality loss, unlike JPG.
Optional resizing
Keep the original resolution, scale down by a percentage, or cap output to a maximum width.
Runs entirely on-device
Every file is decoded and converted locally in your browser. Nothing is ever uploaded or stored anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Why convert AVIF to PNG instead of JPG?
PNG keeps any transparency in the original AVIF and is lossless, so it's the better choice for graphics, screenshots, or images you'll edit further. Use JPG instead if you want the smallest possible file and don't need transparency.
Does converting AVIF to PNG keep transparency?
Yes, by default. Transparent areas in the AVIF stay transparent in the PNG. You can also choose to flatten transparency onto a white or black background instead.
Can I convert multiple AVIF files at once?
Yes. Add as many .avif files as you like, convert them together, and download each PNG individually or grab them all at once as a ZIP.
Will PNG output be larger than the original AVIF?
Usually, yes. PNG is lossless and doesn't compress as efficiently as AVIF, so expect larger file sizes in exchange for no quality loss and full transparency support.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. Every AVIF file is decoded and converted locally in your browser. Nothing is ever uploaded, transmitted, or stored anywhere.
