Frequently asked questions
How many shapes can I crop an image into?
There are more than 40 shapes to choose from, grouped into Basic, Polygons, Stars, Arrows & UI, and Symbols — including circle, square, hexagon, star, heart, arrow, speech bubble, and shield.
Is the cropped image transparent?
Yes, if you export as PNG or WebP and set the background to transparent, everything outside the chosen shape is fully see-through. JPG doesn't support transparency, so a solid background color is used automatically for that format.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. Cropping happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored anywhere.
Can I add a border around the cropped shape?
Yes. Turn on the border option and pick a color and thickness — it traces the exact outline of whatever shape you've chosen.
What size will the cropped image be?
Choose a preset export size or enter a custom width, and the height is calculated automatically to match the chosen shape's proportions.
