At a glance
The tools are free to use and provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.
You're responsible for the files you process and for having the right to use them.
We're not liable for how you use the output, or for any loss, damage, or downtime.
We can change, suspend, or discontinue any tool at any time, for any reason.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using ImageResizer.dev (the "Site") and any of its tools (the "Tools"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use the Site. If you're using the Site on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing to these Terms for that organization and confirming you have the authority to do so.
2. What the Site does
The Site provides free, browser-based tools for converting, resizing, compressing, and otherwise editing image and document files. Every Tool runs client-side, meaning the processing happens inside your own browser rather than on our servers, as described further in our Privacy Policy. No account, sign-up, or payment is required to use any Tool.
3. Your responsibility for your files
You're solely responsible for the files you process using the Tools, and for ensuring you have the legal right to use, convert, or modify them — for example, that you own the content, or have permission from whoever does. Because the Tools process files locally in your browser, we have no visibility into or control over what you upload, and no ability to review, moderate, or remove file content.
You agree not to use the Tools to process, convert, or generate any content that is illegal, infringes someone else's intellectual property or other rights, or that you don't have permission to use.
4. Acceptable use
In addition to being responsible for your own files, when using the Site you agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Site's normal operation (for example, automated scraping or denial-of-service activity)
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass any security or access-control measure on the Site
- Use the Site to process content that is unlawful, harmful, or that violates the rights of others
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in connection with your use of the Site
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law
5. Intellectual property
The Site itself — including its design, branding, text, and underlying code (excluding the files you process) — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.
You retain all rights to the files you process using the Tools. We don't claim any ownership over your content, and — since it's never transmitted to us — we have no ability to use, store, or license it in the first place.
6. No warranties
The Site and Tools are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that any conversion or edit will meet your expectations for quality or accuracy.
You use the Tools at your own risk. We recommend keeping a backup of any original file before converting or editing it, since we have no copy to restore from if something goes wrong on your end.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our operators, contributors, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, files, revenue, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or Tools — even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Because the Site is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us to use the Site in the past twelve months, or (b) fifty US dollars ($50).
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, the files you process, or your violation of these Terms.
9. Availability and changes to the Site
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any Tool or feature of the Site at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you. We don't guarantee the Site will be available at all times or free from interruptions.
10. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to or rely on third-party services (for example, analytics or advertising providers, as described in our Privacy Policy). We aren't responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site or service, and linking to one doesn't imply our endorsement of it.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Site operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
13. Contact us
