JPG does not support transparency, so any transparent areas in your WebP will be replaced with a white background. Additionally, because WebP compresses more efficiently than JPEG, the output JPG will often be larger in file size than the original WebP. If you need to keep both transparency and a small file size, keep it as WebP or convert to PNG.

Why convert WebP to JPG?

What happens to transparent areas in my WebP?
JPG does not support transparency, so any transparent or semi-transparent areas in your WebP will be composited against a white background in the output JPG.
