What size should a YouTube banner be?
YouTube recommends uploading channel art at 2560×1440 pixels. The minimum accepted size is 2048×1152, and both keep the required 16:9 ratio.
What is the "safe area" on a YouTube banner?
YouTube's banner is cropped differently depending on whether someone views your channel on TV, desktop, tablet, or mobile. The safe area is the centered zone that stays visible everywhere, so any logo or text should be kept inside it.
Why does my banner look cropped on TV but fine on desktop?
TV screens show much less of the banner width than desktop does. Keeping your key content inside the safe-area guide is what prevents this from being a problem.
