What size should a LinkedIn post image be?
A 1200×1200 pixel square (1:1 ratio) is a safe, widely-recommended size for image posts, since it displays in full in the feed on both desktop and mobile.
Why a square instead of a rectangle?
Square images tend to show completely in the LinkedIn feed without being cropped down, which keeps your whole photo visible to anyone scrolling past.
Should I crop my photo or keep the whole thing?
Turning off "Fill frame" keeps every pixel of your original photo and adds letterboxing if the aspect ratio doesn't match. Turning it on crops the photo to exactly fill the 1200×1200 square with no bars.
Can I use this for a landscape or portrait photo?
Yes. Use the zoom slider to reframe either orientation into the square — zoom in to crop tighter, or leave it at 100% and turn off "Fill frame" to keep the whole photo with letterboxing.
