How it works
Upload your WebP files
Drop in one file or a whole batch — dimensions and file size show up instantly.
Set output size
Keep the original resolution or scale down. PNG output is always lossless and preserves transparency.
Download
Grab a single PNG directly, or select multiple and download them together as a ZIP.
Lossless pixels, alpha intact
Transparency preserved
PNG has full alpha channel support, so any transparent areas in your WebP carry straight through to the output.
Lossless output
PNG is a lossless format — no additional compression artifacts are introduced during the conversion.
Batch conversion
Add any number of .webp files and convert them all to PNG in one pass.
Better editing support
PNG is natively supported by nearly every image editor, including older software that doesn't handle WebP layers correctly.
Optional resizing
Keep the original resolution, scale down by a percentage, or cap output to a maximum width.
Runs entirely on-device
Every file is read and converted locally in your browser. Nothing is ever uploaded or stored anywhere.
Heads up about file size
WebP compresses much more efficiently than PNG. Converting a WebP to a lossless PNG will almost always result in a significantly larger file size. This trade-off is worth it if you need guaranteed lossless quality or better compatibility with image editors, but it's not ideal if your goal is a smaller file.
Frequently asked questions
Why convert WebP to PNG?
PNG is a lossless format that's easier to edit in legacy image editors like older versions of Photoshop. It's also required by some strict upload systems that haven't adopted WebP yet but need transparency.
Does the conversion keep transparency?
Yes. Any transparent or semi-transparent areas in your WebP are carried over directly into the PNG output with full alpha channel support.
Will the file size get bigger?
Almost always. WebP compresses much more efficiently than PNG. You are trading a smaller file size for a lossless, widely-editable format.
Will I lose quality converting WebP to PNG?
No. PNG is a lossless format, so no additional compression artifacts are introduced. However, if the original WebP was lossy, the existing artifacts from the WebP will be baked into the PNG.
Can I convert multiple WebP files at once?
Yes. Add as many .webp files as you like, convert them together, and download each PNG individually or grab them all at once as a ZIP.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. Every WebP file is read and converted locally in your browser. Nothing is ever uploaded, transmitted, or stored anywhere.
